SB 046: Fair Discipline in Public Schools
Gives discretion over zero-tolerance policies to school administrators and local boards of education to determine the appropriate disciplinary response according to the particular incident and child. House Bills
HB 1061: Skills for Jobs Act
Requires a collaboration between the Department of Labor and Employment and the Department of Higher Education. The departments, listening to Colorado businesses, will identify which fields are growing to ensure that colleges and vocational centers are educating students in fields that need skilled workers. HB 1140: Suicide Prevention Act
Colorado has the 6th highest rate of suicide in the country. This bill helps prevent suicide by providing education resources to families with members who have contemplated suicide as well as collecting statewide data. HB 1272: Training for Unemployed
Building on the success of the Colorado HIRES program that has so far employed 2,500 Coloradans at 1,100 Colorado businesses. Provides training for those needing to update their job skills to make themselves marketable or to start their own business. HB 1286: Film Production Jobs in Colorado Act
Will retain and bring back jobs to Colorado in the film and video game design industry and increase Colorado tourism jobs. |
