​Secured Outdoor Marijuana from Children
Colorado currently has the highest use rates of marijuana among youth in the country. SB-80 would require private (non-industry) growers of medical marijuana to lock and enclose their outdoor medical marijuana from children.
​SB 16-147 CO Suicide Prevention Plan with Zero Suicide Model
Colorado is now 7th in the nation for death by suicide. This model is to reduce suicide in Colorado via system-level training & strategies in the health care system.
SB 16-013 Clean-up Office of the Child Protection Ombudsman
SB-13 clarifies the intent of the 2015 Child Protection Ombudsman legislation with the roles of the Ombudsman, Office, and Board.
HB 1047 Interstate Compact for Physician Licensure
Expedite physicians’ multi-­‐state practice and improve access to health care without comprimising patient safety or quality.
HB 16-1033 Human Trafficking Costs Reimbursement
Adds representatives from agriculture, a child advocacy center, & Judicial Dept. to the CO Human Trafficking Council. Puts into law that council members may be reimbursed for travel expenses incurred in the performance of their duties.
HB 16-1047 Interstate Medical Compact
Interstate compact that allows licensed physicians in another state to obtain an expedited license to practice medicine in Colorado or another state. Particularly to help reduce costs and increase access to care via telemedicine.
HB 16-1066 Domestic Violence Habitual Offenders
Addresses the problem of Domestic Violence offenders who have multiple offenses. HB 1066 would allow conviction of offenders of more than 3 DV offenses, in separate cases, within their lifetime.
​HB 16-1081 HCPF Repeal Reports
Repeals certain reports of the department of health care policy financing to remove obsolete and redundant reports.
HB 16-1098 School Discipline Reporting
Clean-up of 2015 School Discipline Reporting bill about how law enforcement reports their contact with students on school grounds and school activities.
HB 16-1149 Remove Budget Reporting Exemption HOAs Predate Act
All HOAs must notify unit owners of proposed budget. Must set meeting for unit owners to consider budget and majority vote is approved.
HB 16-1302 Career Advancement Act
Aligns Colorado Workforce Development law with the Federal law, “Colorado Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act.”
HB 16-1363 Medical Marijuana Advertising
Gives authority to Department of Revenue to promulgate rules that would prevent the advertisement of marijuana to children.
HB 16-1436 Marijuana Edibles
Requires the Department of Revenue to adopt rules that prohibit edible retail marijuana from being shaped in a manner that entices children.
